On 24 October, the Slovenian People’s Theatre Celje hosted the premiere of the intimate love cabaret Erotika. Setting Cankar’s poetry to music was a truly unique and rewarding challenge — we created eight original songs, performed beautifully and powerfully by the remarkable cast.
The performance takes the audience through a spectrum of love’s archetypes — tenderness, longing, humour, vulnerability — everything Cankar’s words evoke and illuminate.
A heartfelt thank you to the entire creative team, especially to director and co-author Yulia Kristoforova, and to the Slovenian People’s Theatre Celje for the inspiring collaboration.
