On December 26, 2025, we performed a sold-out concert with the Janez Dovč & Sounds of Slovenia collective in the Gallus Hall of Cankarjev dom entitled Earth, Through You I Touch Everything. I am truly happy that we were able to capture this very special evening on film. The concert video is available in the RTV Slovenia Archive, while the audio recording is now being released as a new live concert album.

With sincere gratitude to everyone involved, I can honestly say that I am deeply proud of this album. A great deal of research, reflection and composition has gone into it, but above all, it is the result of shared music-making by an extraordinary collective of musicians, singers and performers. The album features live concert versions of pieces from the album Sozvočja (Celinka.si), as well as several entirely new works released officially for the first time. I would especially highlight the musical settings of poetry by Lili Novy performed by Laura Krajnc, and the song Boy in the Treeby Edvard Kocbek interpreted by Žigan Krajnčan.

Folk music is a memory from ancient times, an echo of a landscape carrying within it the diversity of Slovenian regions, language and dialects, while the author’s song is a “spring of the spirit” attuned to the present moment, connecting this diversity into a whole. To enter the archetypal atmosphere of folk song with the sharpness of the author’s word, deepening the mood through attentive listening. Earth, love, peace, silence, nature. “How simple a human being is in nature, like a bird gliding too softly above us,” wrote Srečko Kosovel, whose commemorative year we are marking. We live in a time when it is essential to reconnect not only the new with the old, but also civilization with nature. This can only be achieved through a deep connection with our own culture and in harmony with the experiences of other cultures, which have cultivated a centuries-long relationship with nature in the diverse yet tangible landscapes of the world.

On this weary Earth, let us no longer sharpen divisions, but instead attune and harmonize ourselves together with it — for hope, peace and love …
