These days we commemorate the 150th anniversary of the birth of the remarkable Slovenian writer Ivan Cankar. On this occasion, I am releasing a new digital music album and video created as part of the theatre production Erotika – Staged Poetry of Ivan Cankar (directed by Yulia Kristoforova; a co-production of SLG Celje, Teater Rampa and iKult Celovec).
The full album features seven songs based on poems from Cankar’s poetry collection Erotika, complemented by four instrumental compositions written for the performance itself.
As the lead single, we chose Ljubica moja (“My Beloved”), interpreted by the outstanding actor Žan Brelih Hatunić, for which we also created a music video.
